smoked mushrooms

Smoked Mushrooms are totally delicious. Do away with the smoking and still get the flavour by simply using Smoked Kelp Seasoning. It is a delicious and healthy way to impart a mild smoky flavour to food while replacing salt.

INGREDIENTS:

serves 4

A tray of brown or Portobello mushrooms
2 tbsp olive oil + 1 tbsp butter (if desired)
1 tbsp minced garlic
Smoked Kelp Seasoning to taste
Freshly ground black peppercorns
1/2 tbsp italian parsley, chopped

METHOD:

Clean & cut the mushrooms.
Warm a pan with the oil and the butter and add the mushrooms. Add the mushroom and stir-fry over moderate heat for 10 minutes (or until the mushrooms are done to your liking), stirring occasionally. Add the seasonings and parsley towards the end.
