tomato sandwich

Want to lift your tomato sandwich? Try this: avocado's creaminess balances Dulse's saltiness and all is the perfect complement to a garden sweet tomato. A feast for the eyes and the taste buds.

INGREDIENTS:

Serves 2

4 slices of seedy multi-grain sandwich bread
1 fresh tomato, sliced
1/2 avocado, sliced into thin pieces
Lettuce leaves, sprouts or both (optional)
2 tbsp Dulse flakes or leaves
2 tsp mayonnaise
freshly cracked black pepper

METHOD:

Toast the bread slices.
For each sandwich:
Spread the mayonnaise on one slice. Arrange the avocado on the other slice and sprinkle with the Dulse. Arrange the tomato slices on top of  the avocado & Dulse. Sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper. Cover with the slice that has been spread with mayonnaise.
Cut in half for easy handling.
