Using kelps as rubs is a good idea: it is a positive alternative to salt and infuses the fish with flavour!
Baked salmon is always a favourite in our house. It is a fatty fish with good health properties & excellent flavour. Crust it with Lemon Kelp to season, flavour and cut some of the richness that sometimes proves a bit too much!
4 salmon fillet pieces, skin on
Lemon Kelp Seasoning to taste
Serve with Lemon or Wasabi Cream, made by mixing equal parts of egg mayo & sour cream with lemon juice & zest. Wasabi cream is made the same way as lemon cream but replacing the lemon ingredients by wasabi paste or powder to taste.
Preheat the oven at grill 200 C. Rinse and pat the fish pieces dry. Sprinkle generously with Lemon kelp as to form a thin coating on the flesh surface of the fish. Place on a baking tray, lined with foil or cooking paper. Grill for 5-8 minutes, until just cooked (fish meat is no longer translucent and flakes easily). Serve with lemon or wasabi cream.
